Autumn Grounding:
An Ayurveda + Breathwork Workshop
As the harvest season unfolds, nature reminds us to pause, gather the gifts we’ve cultivated on our own journey, and release what is no longer needed. It's a time for grounding, reflecting, and nourishing ourselves before the quieter months ahead.
Join us for Autumn Grounding, a restorative workshop that weaves together the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda with the transformative practice of conscious Breathwork. Together, these practices support your body and mind in finding balance during a season of change.
You’ll begin with an introduction to Ayurveda’s seasonal rhythms — exploring Autumn in Ayurveda: The Season of Rising Vata.
Autumn ushers in the reign of vata, the dosha governed by air and ether, and its qualities show up everywhere in the environment. As temperatures swing from warm afternoons to chilly nights, as winds pick up and the landscape dries, the season becomes a living expression of vata’s dry, cold, light, mobile, and irregular nature.
We will explore simple ways to balance vata’s energy through grounding, establishing rhythm, warmth, and lubrication. We will learn the simple and potent practice of abhyanga, self-oil massage, to balance the qualities of vata in the environment.
From there, you’ll be guided into an active Breathwork session using a steady, rhythmic 3-part breath.
Supported by a playlist of music and essential oils (optional), you'll breathe into your belly and heart space, allowing stress, emotions, and stagnant energy to rise and release. As your breath deepens, you may experience sensations such as warmth, tingling, or vibration, followed by a deeply restorative integration phase that will leave you feeling calm, clear, and grounded.
No prior experience with ayurveda, breathwork, or meditation is necessary.
Bring yourself, an open mind, and a willingness to explore. Eat lightly, a large meal is not recommended before Breathwork.
Wear comfortable clothing. Bring a yoga mat, a water bottle, and a blanket for covering your body.
