Turmeric Honey

Honey is sattvic, sweet, and astringent in its natural raw state. Add some turmeric and black pepper for bitterness and pungency to punch up its ability to break up congestion and lighten the body.

Never heat honey as the ancient texts tell us this creates a sticky substance that is not good for the body.

Mix in a jar:

1 cup raw honey

1 tbsp turmeric

1 tsp black pepper

Take 1/2 - 1 tsp daily to keep kapha balanced and flowing or 3x per day in times of illness to clear congestion and soothe cough or sore throat.
